A community initiative from Wheatley Creek Services: practical home help for seniors, families, and neighbors across Grand County going through difficult seasons of life.
Why we started
People shouldn’t have to face hard seasons alone.
The Home Help Project began with a simple belief: when our neighbors are struggling, we show up. Not because there’s a contract, but because we’re part of the same community.
We’ve watched friends recover from surgery alone, families navigate illness while a yard goes unkempt, and seniors quietly try to manage a home that’s grown harder to keep up with each winter. Small things — a shoveled walk, a clean kitchen, a raked yard — give people back a little dignity and breathing room.
This is our way of living out what we believe: that community means helping people when they need it most.
