Customer Type

What type of customers do you serve?

Local Residents: Homeowners and renters who need help with regular maintenance and home services.

Second Homeowners: People who own vacation homes in the area and require services to maintain their properties while away.

Commercial Properties: Businesses and commercial establishments that need professional maintenance and upkeep.

Quotes, Pricing, & On-Site Assessments

Do you offer free estimates/quotes?

We offer free virtual visits when a virtual link (a Zillow or AirBnB link) can be shared with our team. For most jobs, we can view the property virtually or through shared photos and provide a free estimate/quote.

For larger jobs such as painting and staining, remodels, and deep cleans, we will need to conduct an on-site assessment. We charge a $79 assessment fee for these visits, which can be applied to any scheduled work. This ensures you receive a thorough evaluation of your needs, and the fee contributes to the service you select.

How long will an on-site assessment take?

An on-site assessment typically takes 30 minutes to an hour. This duration allows us to thoroughly evaluate your needs and provide an accurate quote for the required services. The assessment can be done with or without the property owner present at the home, whichever is more convenient for you.

When can I expect the quote?

For smaller jobs, we can often provide a quote within a day or two. For larger projects that require an on-site assessment, we typically provide a quote within 1-3 days after the visit. We strive to deliver timely and accurate quotes to ensure your project can move forward smoothly.

What are your prices?

At Wheatley Creek Services, we offer competitive pricing for our wide range of home and property maintenance services, reflecting the high quality and reliability of our services. Clients generally expect to pay a minimum of $195 per visit.

We are fully insured and pay for Workman’s Compensation to ensure the safety and well-being of our team. This means you can trust that our workers are protected and that our services meet professional standards. While this might make our prices slightly higher than some other providers, it ensures that you receive top-notch service with the peace of mind that comes from working with a fully licensed and insured company. We aim to provide excellent service at a fair price, offering value and security to all our customers.

Scheduling

How soon can I be scheduled?

We confirm scheduling dates once a quote has been accepted. This ensures that we can allocate the necessary time and resources to meet your specific needs efficiently. Once you approve the quote, we’ll work with you to find the earliest available slot that fits your schedule.

What time does your team usually arrive?

Hiring a Service Provider

What advice would you give a client looking to hire a home service provider in your area of work?

Research and Reviews: Start by researching local service providers and reading reviews from other customers. Look for comments about reliability, quality of work, and customer service. This can give you a good sense of which companies uphold high standards.

Verify Experience and Expertise: Ensure the provider has experience with the specific type of work you need. For example, if you need work on a historic home, look for a provider with that specific expertise.

Discuss Communication and Updates: Clear communication is key to any project’s success. Discuss how the provider will keep you updated throughout the project and how they handle any issues or changes that might arise.

Check for Proper Licensing and Insurance: Ensure the provider has the necessary licenses and insurance to perform the work. This is crucial for your protection and peace of mind. In the State of Colorado, plumbers and electricians should be licensed, and you can request a copy of their license.

Consider Local Providers: Hiring a local provider, like us at Wheatley Creek Services, means getting someone who understands local conditions and regulations. Plus, it supports the local economy. Check out our list of Grand County, Colorado Preferred Service Providers & Trades to learn more.

Read the Terms and Conditions: Often easily overlooked, Terms and Conditions are what protects you as a client and the service provider. Make sure to review any terms and conditions before moving forward.

What questions should clients think through before talking to home service professionals about their projects?

What is the specific goal of the project? Understanding what you want to achieve helps you communicate your needs.

What is my budget? Knowing how much you are willing to spend can guide the conversation on project scope and materials.

What is my timeline? Consider when you would like the project to start and end. This helps in scheduling and determining availability.

What style or design preferences do I have? If the project involves aesthetic choices, like painting or remodeling, have ideas or examples ready.

Are there any specific materials or brands I prefer? Knowing this can affect the project’s cost and quality.

What are my expectations for communication and updates during the project? Decide how often and by what means you wish to be updated.
